- I am currently a member of Fireside Shakespeare Company in pursuit of my MFA with Mary Baldwin University and the American Shakespeare Center in Staunton, VA.
- In May of 2020 I completed my Masters in Letters in Shakespeare and Performance after submitting my thesis, 'Shakespeare: Reanimated', an analysis of Shakespearean cartoons and an argument for their consideration in performance studies.
- I most recently directed Fireside Shakespeare Company's small scale production of 'Romeo and Juliet'. I am currently writing my MFA thesis about cutting Shakespeare's text for performance and formatting scripts for rehearsal, using this production as research.
- In early 2021 I will be playing Goneril in Fireside Shakespeare Company's production of 'King Lear' directed by Kate Norris.
Actor
"Jason Steffen, Valentine's servant Speed, has a nice balance of the comical and musical with some skilled guitar playing thrown in as well."

"His witty bit of narrative charm overlays Steffen’s expert portrayal of many famous leading men"

Musician
"Jason William Steffen, as Jay Perkins, does everything with a bass fiddle but make love to it, although once it appears that’s his aim. He cavorts and dances, and tosses his bass around all the while just playing the hell out of it."
